The Background

AnnunciAnimali was founded and run by an experienced group of veterinarians in Italy as a safe destination for experienced breeders to find loving homes for their pets.

The site quickly gained traction and within a few years had become the dominant marketplace for future pet parents to fulfil their dreams.

In 2021, PMG acquired AnnunciAnimali, which meant that we could continue the quest set out by the original founders of creating the go-to-place for animal caregivers and breeders to meet

Our Transformation

We launched multiple safety functionalities in order to make the platform safer – KYC identification and a payment system.

Additionally, we improved the mobile offering by launching native apps, as well as improved the search experience.

We continued to build on the legacy of trust & safety by adding a layer of modern techonology and learnings from our other markets.

What measures does PMG take to ensure animal welfare and safety?

Our goal is not only to ensure a high animal welfare standard across our brands - but in fact to redefine how animal welfare is delivered in the digital age. To do this, we have a team of incredibly talented team members, as well as a roster of some of the worlds' leading pet care organisations and companies.

What is the business performance of PMG as a company?

Our mantra has been the same since day 1: A real business is a business profitable business. For us, being profitable is not primarily about being able to return value to our shareholders. Profitability means we can be a long-term partner to invest into by all our key stakeholders - our breeder partners, our team members, the welfare organisations we work with and so on.

In short: we are here for the long-term, and having been profitable since our founding year has allowed us to ensure that we remain a partner worth planning your future with!

Where are your offices located?

While we have two offices - one in Stockholm and one in Berlin, about 80% of our team members work remote from across the world. It's fair to say we are a remote-first company.
